You receive an "Error 1305: Setup Cannot Read File" error message when you install Office 2007

NOTE : Make sure you back up the registry before making any changes:

How to back up the registry :

Start > Run > Regedit > Click on File > Export > save the file as registry back up.

To resolve this issue, delete the filter driver in the CD/DVD Drive. To do this:

1. Click Start, type regedit in the Start Search box, and then click regedit in the

Programs list.

2. In the navigation pane, locate and then click the following registry subkey:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E967-E325-11CE-BFC1-0

8002BE10318}

3. In the details pane, right-click LowerFilters, and then click Delete.

4. Click Yes when you are prompted.

5. Exit Registry Editor.

6. Restart the computer and run setup again
