Fix for Mail Icon Missing in control panel for Outlook 2003,Outlook 2007 and Outlook 2010 in windows XP, windows vista and windows 7.
1. Check and make sure tha following file is available and works by double clicking
it:
C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\System\MSMAPI\1033\mlcfg32.cpl
2. If it works then go to the registry and make sure this entry is present. If not
present, add it:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\MMCPL]
String Value: "mlcfg32.cpl"="C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\System\MSMAPI\1033\mlcfg32.cpl"
3. Relaunching Control Panel should display the Mail icon again.

ReplyDeleteFor my self, it was in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14 - depends on your MS Office version I guess.

none of these worked, the regostry on Windows 7 64 bit has no such entry... any more ideas???
